What is QuietGrid?

QuietGrid is a calm home for word puzzles: three games in one app. Clue is an arrow-word puzzle, where clues sit inside the grid and arrows show where answers go. Mend breaks a theme’s words into pieces for you to put back together. Find is a word search that never scrolls.

Each game has its own colour, Home page and saved game, and all three share one set of Points: finishing a puzzle earns Points, and a hint costs 25. There are no timers and no fail states in any game.

How to play

How a game of QuietGrid flows

  • 1

    Choose a game:

Open Clue, Mend or Find. Each has its own Home page, saved game and Daily Puzzle (Today’s Pick in Clue).
  • 2

    Clue:

Pick The Journey or Unwind, a difficulty and a board size. Read a clue, follow its arrow and place your five letter tiles, then submit. Correct letters stay; the rest return to your tray.
  • 3

    Mend:

Pick a collection and a size. Drag word pieces together, or tap a piece and tap where it goes, until every word is whole. Pinch to zoom on large boards.
  • 4

    Find:

Pick Easy, Medium or Hard. Drag across a hidden word, or tap its first and last letters. A hint rings the first letter of a word you haven’t found.
